WarmWire Spool 240V 940 Ft. long HEATS 160 – 240 Sq Ft

SunTouch WarmWireTM is the affordable alternative to SunTouch Floor Heating Mats.
WarmWire is an economical way to warm floors and provide years of lasting comfort.

WarmWire floor heating cables work the same way as SunTouch mats, but installs differently and costs less. Lay out and attach the WarmWire strap to the subfloor and weave the wire back and forth between them. Cover with thin-set or self-leveling mortar and finish with almost any floor covering. You weave the wire onto the subfloor while maintaining the spacing of wires.

WarmWire can be used to warm areas as small as an 8 sq. ft bathroom or as large as a 200 sq. ft family room with 1 cable; There's a WarmWire spool sized for every project. Larger areas can be warmed with multiple cables wired in parallel, all beginning at the thermostat. Our installation manual will show all the details.

WarmWire is the best there is.

Decide how many square feet of floor are to be heated. Do not install under cabinets or appliances. Generally, about 85-90% of the open areas should be heated. Leave the wire at least 4" away from the toilet wax ring and 2"-6" away from your walls. To keep toes warm, install right up to the toe-kick in front of kitchen or bath cabinets, and in front of a toilet, shower, or tub.

Choose a "spacing factor" of 2, 2-1/2, or 3 inches on center.

Below are guidelines for application and spacing recommendations. 2-1/2 inches on center is the most commonly used spacing, and equals the heat output of SunTouch mats.

  • 2 inches on center = 15 Watts/sq. ft. = 51 BTUs/SF/Hour
Use on concrete slabs, basements, sunrooms, and in other high heat loss areas. 2 inch spacing provides the UL maximum allowed for floor warming indoors and provides the fastest warm up time.
  • 2-1/2 inches on center = 12 Watts/sq. ft. = 40 BTUs/SF/Hour- (Most common spacing) Use raised foundation or upstairs in bathrooms, kitchens, dining, and other living areas.
  • 3 inches on center = 10 Watts/sq. ft. = 34 BTUs/SF/Hour - (lowest cost with lowest heat output) Use in hallways, entries, low heat loss areas, and floors that are left on all the time.
