How to Choose Your SunTouch WarmWire Radiant Floor Heat System
If you've opted for radiant floor heat, congratulations -- you have made a key decision to improving the quality of your health, well-being, and comfort in your home. However, there are still decisions to make. You will want to select the right type of radiant floor heat for your home. In order to do this, you will want to ask a few key questions:
1) Which company should I choose? There many companies today selling radiant floor heating. However, you should ask a few questions when selecting the company that you will entrust into your home. First, you may wish to ask what guarantees and warranties a company offers. If you decide to invest in radiant floor heating systems, you want to ensure that your investment will be backed up by a warranty in case anything goes wrong. You also want to ensure that a company is confident enough in their products to back you up 100%. Secondly, you want to find a company that offers excellent customer service, so that you can get the help you need every step of the way as you select your floor heating system and have it installed. One thing to consider is that SunTouch WarmWire has received rave reviews from past customers for their customer service, commitment, and warranty. SunTouch WarmWire offers a comprehensive ten year warranty that is even transferable, so that new homeowners can enjoy the same warranty if you sell your home. If necessary, SunTouch WarmWire will completely cover the cost to repair your floor heating system. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff can tell you more.
2) How much floor space do I need to cover? Whether you need to cover one room or your entire home, you will want to measure your floors and determine the exact square footage of flooring space you have in each room, and in each room you want to cover. It may help you to create a blueprint of your home and note the length of each floor right on the blueprint. That way, you can tally up the total amount you need per room and per home. Keep in mind, too, that approximately 4.71 feet of length is needed to cover each square foot of area (with 2-1/2" spacing). When ordering your school of heating mats, keep this in mind, and speak your sales representative to get the correct amount of mats for your home.
3) Do I need 240V or 120V? What sort of coverage or spacing do I need? -- WarmWire offers three different spacings, each providing different floor heating levels. In general, you will want more heating power for cooler areas of the home (such as the basement) and more economical, wider spaced systems for areas that are warmer or which do not require as much heat (such as hallways).
